During the site visit, we will discuss expected lead times and the estimated duration of the project.

The time and date we can start the work and how long it will depend on many factors, including but not limited to the following:

• Our availability: there is a high demand for our services throughout the year, and our lead time can vary from 1 week to 6 months.
• The availability of materials you want to use: We have an extensive network of suppliers and contacts within the industry which helps us get materials as quickly as possible, although supply chain issues may still impact how quickly we can start and complete your project.
• The complexity and scale of your project: It goes without saying the more extensive and complex your project, the longer it will take us to complete. Our professional landscapers are productive and efficient, but landscaping takes time, and we refuse to trade speed for quality.
• Extreme Weather: Occasionally, hazardous and extreme weather can prevent us from working due to health and safety concerns or its impact on the materials.

Surrey Landscape Gardeners’ quotations are valid for 30 days from their issued date. If 30 days have passed, but you would still like to go ahead, we may have to adjust the pricing, and if so, a new revised quotation will be provided.

We require a 10% deposit of the project’s total cost, which will be specified in the formal quotation.

The types of payment we accept are cash, cheques and bank transfers.

Yes, the total price specified in the formal quotation will cover all the costs required to complete the project, including labour and materials.

Depending on your project’s scope and geographical location, planning permission may be required. Generally speaking, planning permission is rarely needed for landscaping projects, but checking and obtaining permission before any work commences is vital. We can advise on planning requirements, although you (the client) are responsible for checking and obtaining the correct permission required to carry out the work.

While we won’t require access to your home, we will need access to reliable electricity and water sources. We will also require adequate access to carry out the work and enough space to store materials, skips etc. If parking is restricted, we may also need permits for our work vehicles.

We always aim to minimise any distribution to your neighbours, and our team will keep the site safe and tidy throughout the project. To avoid any issues will suggest you discuss and inform your neighbours of your project prior to our arrival, this gives them an opportunity to raise any concerns or ask any questions. We’ll work with you to find solutions to avoid any conflict with neighbours or the public.

Surrey Landscape Gardeners are covered by £10 public liability and employers liability insurance, which can be viewed here. Our comprehensive insurance policy covers us for Landscaping, Fencing, Planting, Tree Surgery & Site Clearance.
